JP Auto Collision Repair Authorization
I hereby authorize repair or tear down for estimate or work to be made on my car along with the necessary materials. I hereby grant you and/or your employees permission to operate the vehicle described above on streets, highways, or elsewhere for the purpose of testing, inspecting, and /or transport to another repair facility. An express mechanic’s lien is hereby acknowledged on the above vehicle to secure the amount of the repairs thereto JP Auto Collision will not be held responsible for the loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in in vehicle or article left in vehicle in case of fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond JP Auto Collision. JP Auto Collision Repair Centers follows its own repair procedure to insure a quality repair backed by a written guarantee. Some differences may exist between our exact repair process and the procedures outlined on insurance company estimates. However, any differences that would affect total repair costs will be discussed with you or your insurance company beforehand.
In the event that JP Auto Collision Repair Centers does not repair your vehicle, there will be a charge for any labor performed in regard to disassembling and estimating the damage, restocking fees for the pre-ordered parts and/or materials, storage for the time the vehicle was in our possession, and any other fees reasonably incurred by JP Auto Collision Repair Center related to your vehicle.
Most estimates performed prior to disassembly of the vehicle are not accurate because of the probability of hidden damage. Therefore, it is our practice that accurate estimates of the cost to repair, as well as the expected time to complete repairs, are not made until we have disassembled the area of damage to your vehicle. Our normal process is as follows:
* Obtain your approval for us to repair your vehicle and to negotiate with your insurance company if require
* Itemize all visible external damage.
* Disassemble the damaged area to locate hidden damage.
* Itemize the previously hidden damage and predict the likelihood of any additional damage.
* Contact you or your insurance company for inspection and approval of the additional costs required to repair all damages found.
* Update you with a more precise delivery date and time as repairs progress.
I am the person, or an agent acting on behalf of the person, who is obligated to pay for the repair of the vehicle subject to the repair order, in which this is attached. I understand that this vehicle is subject to repossession in accordance with section 9.503, Texas Business & Commerce Code, if a written order of payment for repairs of the vehicle is stopped, dishonored because insufficient funds, or because of the drawer or maker of the order has no account or on which it is drawn has been closed.
If I choose to bring in my own parts, I am aware that all aftermarket parts brought in myself for custom work is not guaranteed to fit on my vehicle. I grant you permission to test fit parts and install them on with the best of your abilities. JP Auto Collision will not be held responsible for aftermarket parts that do not fit to my vehicle. JP Auto Collision will also not be responsible for flaws in paint/repair due to material that is on aftermarket part. I am aware that aftermarket materials aren’t always a 10/10 fit.
